The purpose of the Saint Rose program is to promote teamwork, school pride, and enjoyment of athletics, as well as to contribute to the physical, mental, and social development of students. Depending on the interest of students, Saint Rose students in grades 5-8 can participate in the following sports:

Booster Club

The Booster Club is a parent organization that uses all of the proceeds from its fundraisers to support the athletic programs at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic School, which includes providing equipment and uniforms to the different teams.  The Booster Club also assists Mr. Sullwold, our Athletic Director, in a number of ways.  Most of the Booster Club board members also coach Saint Rose teams, and they host the Athletic Banquet each spring to honor our student-athletes and thank our coaches.

The Booster Club held it's 21st Annual Saint Rose of Lima Golf Tournament on September 19th. The weather was beautiful and the rain held off just long enough to get the last groups into the clubhouse for an excellent BBQ dinner and raffle. It was an afternoon of golf with family and friends, and it was glorious.

The Golf Tournament raised over $2,300 for the Booster Club. Sixty-two golfers participated and over 80 people enjoyed dinner with us. The Booster Club will be looking to begin cycling through team uniforms, replenishing student scholarship funds, and replacing worn equipment with the funds that were raised.

Thank you to all who participated in the golf tournament and who support Saint Rose Student Athletics. We couldn't do it without you!

Student Council

Saint Rose's Student Council is a program that provides middle school students the opportunity to make a difference and give back to their school and community. Together, students plan and implement fundraising, community building, and school improvement events. Some of these, like the annual Haunted Tunnel, are long-standing traditions; others are tailored towards current events or students' specific interests or needs. Student Council members also learn and hone important skills, such as leadership, collaboration, time management, and public speaking.
